Many a happy morning was spent arriving early to have an early morning brew, a chat to Tony, and go up to the Staff lounge to meet Eric (Like me, loved morse, last name escapes me for the minute).
I remember, Saunders, lovely fella, ex Norwood Technical College.
On one such meeting, Eric had a smile on his face, he looked really happy. Most unusual. On further enquiries, it turned out that his particular window overlooked the female students accommodation. He found that when he dropped (accidentally mind you) an empty waste paper bin out of the window, he discovered that at least one young lady, would throw back the curtains to discover who was doing what, to whom and why she wasn't involved, without the forethought of getting dressed first!!
Eric never did say who this particular student was, but he did bemoan the fact that it only worked the once, despite a number of other attempts!!!
It did solve the problem of how our waste paper bins kept appearing outside the main building!
