Member notes for Daniel Millan
Re-married with two kids from my first
marriage, one boy aged 13 and a girl aged 14, was living in Australia
for the last 14 years. I left the regular army in 88 and the
TA in 1992. I went to the Merchant Navy College in Greenhithe Kent,
(now closed) and got an HNC in Electronics and Communications
Engineering. Went to Australia and worked on the ships in Fremantle
Port and then changed career to the casino industry as a dealer for 6
years. I have also been a stretch limmo' driver and had my own business
working from home fixing computers (upgrades, virus removal,
installations and training). Went to TAFE and University and
have graduated from a BSC in Environmental Management in 2002. I was
involved in voluntary work for my local shire in urban bushland
management and ran my own friends group of botanists, conservationists
and local community members. I was also a member of the Perth Urban
Bushland Council and a member of the Conservation Advisory Committee
for the City of Joondalup. I was a Cadet Leader for my school Emergency
Service Cadets, teaching navigation and radio skills. I
graduated from a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2004 and am a
secondary school science teacher , my minor teaching area is computing
and IT and was teaching at Clarkson Community High School close to the
Ocean, north of Perth, before leaving to teach in the UK. I
was a supply teaching in the Manchester/Cheshire, but once again
decided on a career change and training as a Home Inspector for the new
Home Information Packs (HIP's) I have done all my trainig and just
waiting for accreditation before being in business for myself working
from home.
