After leaving St Georges, in Gravesend, I
went to H.M.S.Worcester at Greenhithe. I left the Ship in 1969 and I
went to sea as a Deck Cadet with Port Line Ltd (part of the Cunard
Group) ending up as 3rd Mate. I served in
Port Caroline ACT1 Port Alfred Port Nicholson Cunard Carrier Port Caroline (again) In
1976 I came ashore and I joined the Army. After inital training with
the RCT at Buller Barracks, Aldershot, (I was 'Best Recruit' in intake
506) I was posted to 20 Maritime Regiment, Royal Corps of Transport, at
Gosport. Serving in HMAV Audmer (and was on the Sivler Jubilee review
of the Fleet, in 1977) and Oliver Twist (at the British Kiel Yacht Club
in BAOR). I ended up at the RA ranges, in the Outer Hebrides at
Benbecular and St Kilda. I left in the Army in 1979. The day
after I left the Regular Army I joined the TA serving with 6Pl 2 Coy
10Para. I was injured during 'P' Company and left the Regt. Once I had
recovered from the injury I joined 215 Sqn RCT(V) at Mile End Road. I
left the TA I joined the Metropolitan Police in 1981. With the Metropolitan Police after training at Hendon I was posted to t Peckham Police Station. In 1986 I transfered to the Diplomatic Protection Group at Tottenham Court Road. In 1987 I joined PT17, Level 2 B Team which later becoming Black Team. In
1990 I was then 'tenured' to Mitcham Police Station for 5 months
returning to SO19. I served as an instructor and on the Armed Responce
Vehicles with 'F' Troop. I had rejoined the TA with 253 Pro
Coy RMP(V) in 1984 and was 'called up' in 1996 for regular service in
the Former Republic of Yugoslavia serving with both 174 Pro Coy RMP and
1(UK) Armd Div Pro Coy RMP as part of IFOR. In January 1999 I was again 'tenured' but this time to Croydon Police Station where I stayed until Febuary 2000. I
was then seconded to the FCO and was posted back to the FRY to work
with the UN mission to Kosovo (UNMIK). I was seconded, by the FCO, to
the OSCE and worked at the Police School in Vushrui for a year, at the
Kosovo Police Service School, training Kosovo Police Recruits. Upon return, in 2001, I was posted to Brockley Police Station. In
2002 back to SO19 as an Instructor at Lippetts Hill and then the whole
training Department moved to Gravesend, the old sea school, which had
been transformed into the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training
Centre (MPSTC). In December 2004 I applied for another
'Mission' and May 2005 I was seconded to the FCO again and worked in
Jordan at the Jordan International Police Traning Centre (JIPTC)
training Iraqi Police Recruits. In May 2006 I returned to the UK and rejoined the MPS and was posted back to CO19. Furthering
my 'Military' career I have recently joined 3 Tactical Provost Wing
R(Aux)AF. That means that now I have been a member of the reserves of
