Member notes for John Peard

Joined the Merchant Navy 1968. Spent a bit of time in London, at King Teds & Tower Hill, where I met my wife. Drifted back to Cwmbran in 78 before emigrating to Cardiff in 81. Raising 3 children and still navigating, mainly around the UK these days. I can't say school was the best time of my life, think a run ashore in South America was more fun. However, fond memories of some good friends and even a pleasant Teacher or two!
