Joined the merchant navy after leaving school and further education college. Spent 20 years at sea travelling the world and nearer to home on cross channel ferries out of Dover. Currently working as a port control officer in Poole Dorset. Married for 32 years with three sons all in their twenties.
Became a Grandfather in April 2007!!
