Since I left East Barnet during the Lower 6th, (studying never was my
strong point) Ran away to sea and joined the Merchant Navy, did a 4
year cadetship with BP, met a girl at college whilst doing my 2nd mates
exams, got married left the sea temporarily and have now been married
for 21 yrs with 2 children (Katie 13, David 11). Had a spell working
for Ladbrokes as a manager, but couldn't cope with the Mon to Sat 9
till 5 so returned to Sea on the UK coast 11 years ago where I am now a
Chief Officer working 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off, only job where I could
get 6 months paid holiday a year!! Last year returned to studying at
Warsash Nautical College doing an HND in Nautical Science and Master
Mariners exams, very hard work since my last studying was nearly 22
years ago, but pleased to say I managed a pass, Now living very happily
in Watford and |
