Just came across the internet site - heavens did it bring back some nice
memories.
I was there when it opened in Sept 1975 - I did the radio/radar bit and left
in June 1978 and subsequently joined Marconi Marine as a ships (second)
radio officer.
Sad to see the place demolished - what a dreadful waste !!
