From: Jon To: mnc.mail Sent: Monday, February 12, 2001 7:31 AM Subject: Where have I been? Just been told about the Greenhithe website and a very good one it is. I attended Greenhithe to do my MRGC between 1975 & 1978 along with Martyn Randall, Simon White etc. My first job on the strength of my ticket was with British Antarctic Survey, working on the sub-antarctic island of South Georgia. I returned in 1980 and revalidated my ticket, took the radar exam and ended up working for the FCO for a while. Joined the RAF in 1983, and was made redundant in1996. Moved into GSM mobile comms, with Orange, doing network management until December 2000. I have just moved to Saudi Arabia, working for Lucent, doing network management on the Saudi Telecom GSM network. If anyone is interested in amateur radio, I am licensed as G4LGZ in the UK but is not really possible to operate from KSA My email address is currently and should anyone wish to take a peak and have a laugh (at my expense), my website is www.jonsworld.org.uk Hope to hear from some of my ex fellow students. Kind regards Jon Ainge
